Fighting Women’s Discrimination for Better World
 UN WOMEN
For making a proper solutions toward women’s discrimination, we reviewed the history of our country on that. Our country has ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination againts Women (CEDAW) on 13th of August 2002. Our country experience toward that circumstances, was not a bad experiences. We do respected and advanced the whole thing about women. We served the custom of Matriarki, where we highly honored the worker from woman. We also member of the International Labour Organization (ILO), where we highlighted the worker’s right, elimination of discrimination againts women in the field of employment, and had consistenly participated in and supported the outcomes of international summits and conferences on women. During the ratification of CEDAW, the representative of Barbados identified five areas of priority: institutional mechanism; women in poverty; violance againts women; women in decision-making’ and women health.
In 1999, the Ministry of Social Transformation had been established and included the national machinery, renamed the Bureau of Gender Affairs, which was tasked with mainstreaming the concept of gender into all policies, plans, and programmes, monitoring that process and carrying out sensitively training in the public and private sectors. A National Advisory Council on Gender had been created to assist the Bureau.

We as the representative of Barbados believes, that woman’s part is not absolutely bad. We had done so many achievements according to the scene of women behind that. So as we encourage worlwide to even change their paradigm on women. In our country, women were active participants in the political process as supporters, campaigners and voters. Therefore, in order to fight the women’s discrimination is to swift our paradigm on them. Start from trusting them on any matter related to the works of life.
